Interview on Voice of Russia on American boss taken hostage in China

I was recently interviewed by the Voice of Russia on the incident near Beijing, China in which workers took an American factory boss hostage out of fear of losing their jobs. The interview can be listened to here.

I am a researcher and rights advocate with attention towards social justice, social movements, labor, China, and U.S. foreign policy. Previously, I served as program coordinator at China Labor Watch, a labor rights watchdog group. In 2012, I did a year of fieldwork in China on the rights defense of manufacturing workers.
